Caryota urens

At first glance , this type of palm trees have a distinctive element and it is the fact that they have leaves that have a high similarity in their shapes with the tail of a fish. It is a type of palm that is not very common to be found in a habitat like other palm trees. It is little known by people.

Chamaedorea elegans

Livistona Chinensis

Phoenix canariensis

Trachycarpus fortunei

It is a palm that, compared to the others, is the one that most resists low temperatures. The maximum temperature that has been documented is -20 °C. Other distinctive characteristics is the fact that on the trunk you can see a type of hair that precisely covers the trunk. It is a palm that is generally found in places with continental climates.

Washingtonia filifera

These palm trees have the property of being able to resist low temperatures of up to -9 °C, and are generally found in coastal areas. If temperatures drop even further, the leaves of these palm trees will begin to be affected, reaching the point of burning. However, if conditions change rapidly, these previously affected leaves recover very quickly.
