Types of hymen

The hymen according to this concept in the science of medicine, it is said that this is a type of membrane that turns out to be very thin, which is found in women, at the opening of the vagina. Precisely because each woman is different in her physiology, it turns out that each form of hymen is also varied. Now, by consensus the shape is cataloged as a crescent.
Exactly the hymen is located between the folds of what is known as the vulva which as the woman grows , it may break. That is why the idea should not be conceived that only through sexual intercourse does the hymen break. One of the explanations why the hymen can break under other circumstances is precisely because of its elasticity.
Types of hymen
Artificial hymen
It is thus known to that bag that appears when there is a penetration for the first time and simulates menstrual blood.
Coraliform Hymen
The shape of this type of hymen has a certain resemblance to what are the petals of a flower since the extensions that develop in said hymen are superimposed on each other.
Dilated hymen
According to the characteristics of its elasticity, it can be opened to the similar size of two fingers without apparently suffering any kind of rupture of the hymen itself.
Double Membrane Hymen
As its name indicates, in this case there are two membranes one on top of the other, where their holes do not necessarily have to coincide with each other.
Fringed Hymen
The way in which this hymen is presented is very particular; at the edge of the vagina the hymen is shown in a sawtooth-like fashion. On other occasions, a certain resemblance to the shape of the corolla of flowers is found in the form. It is a type of hymen that is little known, unlike the normal and imperforate ones, which are the best known.
Hypertrophied hymen
The main characteristic is that unlike the rest of the types of hymen, this one turns out to be large,
Imperforate hymen
This means that the hymen is not perforated; It is located in the vagina in a very thin form covered in its entirety. In this case, when the woman has menstruation, the blood is not expelled to the outside, which is counterproductive to a certain extent, since an abdominal mass forms that would affect the woman’s health.
When this type of case occurs and is detected in women, it is necessary to remove said hymen through a surgical procedure so that a vaginal-type opening is made and everything develops normally in women. This surgical process is often called a hymenectomy and is highly recommended by doctors.
Labiated Hymen
It is a hymen that, according to its shape, turns out to be elongated and is located in the middle part of the vagina and has a type of membrane on each side of it.
Microperforated Hymen
This turns out to be a very thin membrane, unlike the normal hymen, in this case if it covers the entire vagina; and when the woman becomes menstruating it usually happens that her blood is expelled out of her vagina. Now, if the woman in this case decides to use tampons, she will not be able to use it precisely because of the condition of the hymen.
Normal hymen
This is the name given to the most common shape that by consensus people know as a crescent. Due to this characteristic and according to the physiognomy of the woman, this hymen only covers a part of the vagina. Many women decide for this reason to undergo a surgical procedure called hymenoplasty; in order to cover the entire vagina.
Septate Hymen
The main characteristic of this type of hymen is that it has a type of tissue band that, being located in the center of the vagina, allows two openings to be shown when it is normally one vaginal opening. If the woman wishes in this case to use tampons, due to the conditions in which the vagina is found, she will not be able to use them.
Septate hymen
Its shape creates two openings in the vagina since the hymen is right in the middle in the form of a strip which, due to its shape and consistency, looks like extra tissue.
