Conventional work with its types

Within the different types of work, there is conventional work . In this conventional type of employment, precise and methodical activities are carried out with rules and regulations to be fulfilled and followed.

It is aimed at people who are efficient, easy to adapt to different environments, unimaginative and practical.

Work is recognized as the measure of effort made by human beings. According to the vision of neoclassical economics, it constitutes being one of the three factors of production together with capital and land.

Through time and coexisting among them, there have been various forms of organization of production and work, from the period of slavery to reaching the artisan workshop, going through sharecropping and servitude.

The salary is defined as the value of the work performed by the employee in the labor market. It is determined in an employment contract that can be carried out individually in an individual employment contract, or collectively in a collective bargaining agreement.

The work is strongly related to the use of tools and construction, as well as technology, technique and the design of production and work processes.

The types of conventional work can be:


Public accountant is known as that professional dedicated to handling the accounting of a person, organization or company. In general, the public accountant develops in the areas of accounting, statistics, law, computing, financial mathematics, administration, mathematics in general, human resources, economics, audits, finance and many others.


The cashier or cashier who works in a commercial establishment is the person who has the responsibility of adding the amount that must be paid in a purchase, at the same time he orders the consumer that amount and later collects the payment for the services or merchandise that are provided.


An archivist, also called an archivist, is the individual who has a higher or middle degree and is dedicated to maintaining and organizing an archive. In a professional way, an archivist can develop in a public administration which can be a university or a public entity of a foundation, a company or a private university.

Its main purpose and task is to apply and elaborate the classification table of the documents of the institution, entity or body so that they are applied in the office or management files and in the definitive files. They also control its update and follow-up.

Apart from all this, the archivist is in charge of the instruments that are needed for the description and facilitation of the retrieval and search of documents by people who have access to the archive.


The managerial concept is applied to that person who directs the coordination or direction of an institution, company or organization, or who is also part of it as in a work group or in a department.

There is a general manager, personnel manager, finance manager, shift manager, project manager, section manager, among others.

Technological characteristics of conventional work

  • Conventional administration:  It is the occupation in which the tasks are developed using traditional administrative tools, such as manual files, typewriters, manual drawings, design instruments, among others.
  • Conventional productive equipment:  Occupation in which the tasks are carried out using conventional machines, chains or technologically traditional processes and manual tools or traditional productive equipment.
  • Other conventional: Occupation in which the tasks are carried out using instruments, equipment, means and techniques to carry out a job and which are considered traditional.
