Types of Diagram

The diagram is that graph that represents a series of data in a simple or complex way , depending on the needs of the information. The purpose of its use is to schematically represent the information to be presented.
This is made up of a series of graphics such as arrows, boxes, circles, to mention the most used. In it, the necessary information is presented in a connected and summarized way, it will be a support material for the exhibitor to present the necessary data and better present the ideas.
These types of resources are widely used by companies, government institutions, schools and other groups that consider it necessary. This is a very valuable tool. And among them the most used is the flow because it presents ideas schematically through a logical sequence.
Diagram types
This type of diagram is widely used in companies or any other type of organization, to show stakeholders how it is composed and define the lines of command and authority.
Block flow diagram
It allows to elaborate a representation of graphic type, for example, of the production processes of a company. In this case, each block will represent a particular action or stage that occurs within the operational gear.
As a general rule, in this type of diagram, the actions and/or characteristics of the stage in question are represented in the blocks, the arrows that join them indicate the logical sequence in how the entire operation is developed as a whole.
Pie or circular diagram
This type represents above all the global result of the statistical operations where each part of the total circle represents a represented percentage of certain data.
Process diagram
These graphically represent these processes in order to detect necessary improvements in it. You must carry a sequence that has precisely a beginning and an end.
Bar chart
These are used when seeking to represent quantitative or qualitative quantities, the product of a series of operations. In this case, data is represented as frequencies, crossed with the data that represents it to put bars that indicate the necessary amounts. In this regard, it is necessary to point out that there are several subtypes:
Training pyramid
It is a type of bidirectional bar chart, which tries to represent the population by sex and age ranges, according to what is being treated.
Simple bar graph
It just represents data from a series of bars in simple ways.
Grouped Bar Chart
In this case, each data series will be represented by a color to distinguish it from others.
Simplified equipment diagram
It turns out to be a small type of diagram compared to the flowchart; which is formed by specific tables where its functionality is indicated.
Detailed equipment diagram
In this case, additional elements are included for its representation as required in engineering, for example, where pipes, valves, fans are described. It is a diagram that by its nature is complex.
Piping and instrumentation diagram
The exact locations of the mechanical elements of an installation, location of valves and operating processes are represented graphically. They are widely used in engineering activities.
Conceptual diagram
It is used to logically manage a series of concepts that are considered necessary to group in a scheme to use it as an expository tool.
Sequence diagram
It schematically presents a sequence of interactions of ideas throughout a defined space.
