Types of Administration

We call administration that science or discipline in charge of the distribution and conduction of material and human resources , as well as the science that is in charge of the study of the techniques of planning, organization, control, direction and execution of the own resources ( human and material), aimed at obtaining maximum efficiency, obtaining maximum benefit and the best control and distribution of its own resources, through rational criteria that allow these objectives to be met.

Administration is something that has arisen since ancient times, as a consequence of the need for a good and efficient distribution of resources in all emerging societies, derived from the need for the distribution of agricultural resources (because they had to be saved and accounted for). agricultural surpluses to be properly distributed, as well as the distribution of work), giving a dynamism in human and productive activities.

Currently the administration is associated with economic, financial and governmental spheres, but in itself the administration is the management of all material or human resources, in any field or sphere of society.

We can say that the administration is the set of rules and actions aimed at efficiency and the best distribution of any resource (material, economic, human resource such as work, resources such as time, etc.).

Main types of administration:

The administration can be classified in various ways, depending on whether it is private, public, or mixed, depending on the approach with which it is exercised, the area in which it operates, economic-commercial, business type, or by the field in which it is carried out. which deals (administration of economic, material and human resources for example of a hospital, a textile company, the administration of work in a hotel, or in financial, manufacturing, fiscal, or other fields within a company .

Public administration

We understand by public administration, that which is identified with the political-governmental and institutional domain, in the direction of the activities and processes of planning, ordering, classification and designation of resources (material and human), which are carried out within the scope of public institutions, whether these entities or government agencies or public institutions, at local, regional or national levels, whose function is to direct resources to their effective use, through the management exercised by public bodies or entities with legal personality.

In it, public officials are in charge of using and distributing the resources belonging to the state (financial goods, movable goods, natural resources, human resources and other resources), channeling them towards the satisfaction of collective needs, either by providing services such as the maintenance of medical entities, provision of water or other services to the population, the construction and/or maintenance of infrastructures that provide a service or public use, etc.

Private Administration

We understand by private administration that which is responsible for the planning, distribution and management of the different resources within all those institutions and organizations outside the state, that is, we refer to that administration of businesses, companies, factories, shops and others. private organizations.

Mixed Administration

We call as mixed administration or also as quasi-public administration, that which is carried out in decentralized or autonomous institutions or organizations, but that have state participation, despite the fact that their autonomy allows them to be exercised in a similar way to private organizations. This is the case of some decentralized dependencies, that although for example they can receive state resources, the administration of the resources and their channeling to the branches that this organization considers appropriate, are not questioned by the state entity, having autonomy to exercise the management and distribution of resources according to their own criteria, but where there is a strong influence of the state in some particular aspects,

This is the case, for example, of some mixed-partnership companies (private-state), where both (the state and private investors) manage capital and resources to carry out the same project. Another case would be that of public institutions (such as a university), which, although it receives public resources, is managed autonomously in managing them.

Another classification of administration types:

Government administration

This is the one that is directed and executed directly by the state, through the various government agencies, around the resources of a country, as well as the administration or government itself that has “political control” and the direction of the activities of the economic, human and material resources of a country (national, regional or local administration), the latter being understood with respect to the group of individuals that make up a government or “administration” in a certain period of time, whose function is that of directing the resources to their effective use, through the management exercised by public bodies or entities with legal personality.

Economic Administration

We speak of economic administration when dealing with the management of economic-monetary resources, whether within the government, business, family, etc. that is, we are talking about the distribution of money and other economic-monetary resources.

Family Administration

It is about the management of economic and material resources within the family itself, whether it is about the management of monetary resources (care of family spending), the distribution and care in the use of resources such as running water, electricity , and others, for the proper functioning of the family economy, etc.

Ways of exercising administration:

It is the system in which the members of an organization have greater freedom to carry out the tasks they believe pertinent to the organization of resources. It is characterized by providing greater freedom to the members of the organization by limiting the restrictions that a strict hierarchy usually exerts in decision-making.

By vote or democratic

It is the system of administrative organization where the taking of provisions regarding the management of resources is taken after meetings aimed at making decisions, where actions can be suggested to be followed by all members of an organization (company ). Although this system has advantages in terms of the great disposition of ideas and points of view for decision-making in the distribution of resources, they are usually inefficient due to the lack of effectiveness in decision-making, which tend to be delayed. excessively, except in small organizations such as family businesses).
