The word biology is made up of the Greek terms bios, which means life, and logos whose meaning is study. It consists of a natural science that deals with examining the qualities of living organisms, concentrating on their provenance and progress.

Biology investigates the traits that characterize a model as an individual and species as groups, examining their behaviors, their links, their links with the environment and their customs in the field of reproduction.

Marine biology

Microbiology is a category that is responsible for investigating microorganisms. These entities can be seen only through the use of the microscope . This is because microbes are tiny living beings that can be made up of a cell, or small cell adhesions without cellular difference.

Microorganisms are subdivided into eukaryotes, which are those that have a nucleus, and prokaryotes, which consist of those beings that do not have a nucleus.

  • The chemistry of the procedures and substances that store and transfer biological data. This branch is also related to molecular genetics.


The word astrobiology comes from the Greek roots, it refers to analyzing the probable existence of life on the other planets , it is made up lexically of astro, which means star, together with bios, whose meaning is life, and the suffix logia that means study.

Astrobiology is a discipline that deals with investigating and studying life in the universe. It covers the beginning, how it is divided, and the future of life in the universe. This category is based on collaboration with other sciences such as biology, geology and astrophysics, to require studies on the origin, appearance and influence of life on other planets.


Biophysics is a branch of Biology that investigates the physical foundations inferior to all the procedures of living systems. Biophysics is a discipline that is considered reductionist because it indicates that all phenomena seen in nature have a predicted scientific description.

Molecular biology

Molecular biology is a scientific branch of biology whose goal is to investigate the procedures that are formed in living beings from the molecular perspective .
